Aegis Unveils Discoverant 4.1 Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence Software

LAFAYETTE, Colo., January 5, 2012 - Aegis Analytical Corp., the leading provider of Enterprise Manufacturing and Process Intelligence software, announced today the availability of Aegis Discoverant® 4.1, the latest version of its global software platform.
Discoverant is used by global drug manufacturers such as Abbott, AstraZeneca, Baxter, Biogen Idec, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Eli Lilly and Company, Genzyme, Human Genome Sciences, Merck Serono - and virtual manufacturers such as Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Shire - for manufacturing data aggregation and analytics that enable improved process predictability, quality, yield and operational excellence.
The new version enhances the functionality within all Discoverant modules, including:
InVision
- Easier identification of Critical, Key and Controllable Process Parameters and Quality Attributes
- AG Merge to allow combining two Analysis Groups into one for easier site-to-site and product-to-product comparisons
- Category Shading in Control Charts enhances statistical process control (SPC) analysis by highlighting data by site, quarter, raw material, etc.
- Chromatography calculations can now be saved for use in other tools, such as Control Charts, in Automated Result Methods
- Golden Batch comparisons now allows users to save Golden Batches using Volume or Cumulative Volume in addition to Offset and Cumulative Offset
Nexus
- Data-Driven Query Pathways provide enhanced data retrieval from multiple data sources
Paper Record Input Manager (PRIMR)
- Enhanced Universal Time Clock (UTC) date support allows PRIMR Pages to be associated with specific time zones
- Dependent Lookups allow PRIMR developers to configure Pages with database lookups that change based on the value of other fields on the Page
Admin
- Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) can be configured for Discoverant browser-based tools to provide more secure transfer of data
