Aegis Analytical’s Discover 2010 Keynote Delivered by Human Genome Sciences’ Randy Maddux

LAFAYETTE, Colo., June 7, 2010 - Aegis Analytical Corp., the leading provider of Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence software, announced today that Human Genome Sciences' Randy Maddux, vice president of manufacturing operations, will be the keynote speaker at its annual user conference, Discover 2010, to be held September 20-24th at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder, Colorado.
Mr. Maddux's presentation will explore "Achieving OpEx in Life Sciences Manufacturing by Mitigating Process Risk to Improve Supply Chain Robustness."

In his current role at Human Genome Sciences (HGS), Mr. Maddux has executive responsibility for four GMP manufacturing facilities, is responsible for oversight of global supply chain activities for the company and serves on the company's Operating Committee. Prior to HGS, Maddux spent 8 years as the director of quality for BiogenIdec where he played a key role in the design, construction, validation, and licensure of two biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities while leading the establishment of commercial quality systems for the company. Prior to his tenure with BiogenIdec, Mr. Maddux spent nine years with GlaxoSmithKline in a variety of technical and managerial positions in Quality and Operations. He began his career as a development scientist with Burroughs Wellcome. Mr. Maddux holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He completed his undergraduate and graduate course work in analytical chemistry at East Carolina University.
