Lyndal Hesterberg , Ph. D., is President and a founder of Barofold, Inc., which licenses its proprietary protein folding technology to leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Hesterberg held various management and scientific positions at Syngene Products and Research, a start up company focused on the development of recombinant protein vaccines and diagnostics. He later joined Amgen, Inc. and was part of the team that developed assays for the structure, function, manufacture and quality control of erythropoietin. Dr. Hesterberg was a co-founder and Executive Vice President, Scientific Affairs of BioStar, Inc., a diagnostic company and later joined SomaLogic, Inc, a proteomics company, as the Senior Director of Business Development and Clinical Research Services. Dr. Hesterberg earned his Ph.D. from St. Louis University, where his thesis research involved the structural and thermodynamic behavior of proteins, and completed post-doctoral training as an EMBO Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for BioPhysical Chemistry.
